New model object type: Spiral beams

YouTube video:

You can create spiral beams using Tekla Structures. Spiral beams can be used to model spiral staircases, parking ramps, and complex architectural shapes, for example. Spiral beams can be shown in drawings either folded or unfolded. This feature is available starting from Tekla Structures 2017i.

So this Spiral beam is stand alone from the spiral staircase , so you have to
explode the spiral staircase to remove the flat plate stringer or can you just turn it off?

by Tommi Hautalahti

Yes this video is about creating just a spiral beam using the standard tools. The Spiral Staircase extension does have a "remove stringer" option. The help page for the extension is here: https://teklastructures.support.tekla.com/2017i/en/ext_spiral_staircase_2

If you have questions regarding extensions, the best place to go is the forum.tekla.com, where you can find a forum for extensions discussions.
