Wall Layout for Precasters

This video shows how to utilize the Wall Layout tool in Tekla Structures. Wall Layout tools is a set of components that you can use for creating and modifying all common types of concrete walls, such as solid precast panels from single layers to double walls and sandwich walls, and different wall structures that are cast on the site. The wall structure may contain several layers, for example, structural layers, insulation, void, and surface treatments. You can use direct modification to flexibly change the wall geometry, layer offsets, openings, and seam lines.

Floor Layout for Precasters

This video shows how to utilize the Floor Layout tool in Tekla Structures. Floor Layout creates floors built of precast filigree and hollow core slabs. The floors may contain several layers, such as precast slabs, insulation and a cast-in-place topping. Floor Layout is most useful for non-rectangular floors that contain one or more openings that split slabs into many pieces, and when slab widths are not constant on the whole floor area. You can modify the floors using direct modification.

Changes in orthogonal snapping

Tekla Structures 2019i introduces changes in orthogonal snapping behavior. The orthogonal snap points have the lowest priority among the snap points. If Tekla Structures detects any other possible snap point than an orthogonal point, that is used instead of the orthogonal snap point.

Improved search in the property pane

Starting from Tekla Structures 2019i, the search in the property pane now finds all properties and user-define attributes (UDAs) that are available for the object type. Also the copying of properties has been improved: you can now press Enter to finish the copying of properties instead of clicking the Modify button.

New in Tekla Structures 2019i: In single part and assembly drawings on the Attributes tab of the Section view properties, there is a new Size check box for the new Fit by parts setting and the existing settings Section depth and Distance for combining cuts. Now you are able to set Fit by parts for all section views in drawing properties before the drawing creation.
