Showing studs in drawings

Question:How to show studs in workshop drawings?Answer:In Tekla Structures versions 18.0 and 18.1 set XS_SHOW_STUDS_IN_WORKSHOP_DRAWINGS=TRUE in the user.ini file. Note that this advanced option is not available in Tools > Options > Advanced Optionssettings used to customize Tekla Structures for specific companies, standards, users, or user groupsIn Tekla Structures, advanced options are settings that are used, for example, in a specific project or geographical area, or by a specific company. In Tekla Structures, advanced options usually begin with the initials XS and are followed by

Quotes in shortcut target

Question:I have noticed that in the Target field for Tekla Structures shortcut, there are quotation marks around the path to the TeklaStructures.exe file. Are they really needed? Answer:The quotation marks are there to avoid possible problems if the path contains spaces. If you have installed Tekla Structures to a path that does not contain spaces e.g. C:\TeklaStructures\ there will be no problems even if you remove the quotations marks. If you have installed Tekla Structures to a path that contains spaces e.g. C:\Program Files\Tekla Structures\ the quotation marks are needed.

Cannot find center point for chamfer

Question:What does the error message: "Cannot find center point for chamfer" mean?Answer:This error message means that at least one chamfer has illegal parameters. This happens when the chamfer type is either Rounding or Arc point, and the center of the curvature cannot be calculated. This may occur, for example, because three points are on the same line and the middle point is chamfered. The error message is shown during numberingprocess of assigning position numbers to parts, cast units, assemblies, or reinforcementIn Tekla Structures, the position numbers assigned in the numbering are

Main or tie/stirrup class in custom component reinforcement

Question:When you add reinforcement to a part, it is possible to select the material and whether the reinforcement type is main or tie/stirrup. When you add reinforcement to a part that will be used inside a custom componentcomponent that the user creates and uses for creating model objects whose composition the user can modify as a group, you can only select tie/stirrup. Is it possible to modify this?Answer:There is one way to modify the reinforcement type in a custom component. When you give new parameters to the custom component, such as dimension or material, the changes are recorded in

Network connection lost when working in multi-user mode

Question:I am working in multi-user modemode in which several users can work on the same model using their own working models. During the day the network connection was lost several times. At first I was connected to the server as user ag_1. After several reconnections I am now working as user ag_5, but I cannot save the model because user ag_1 still has the model locked. Answer:This problem occurs due to a network break between the user and the multi-user server. When the connection is restored, it creates a new session for the user and leaves the old session idle.
