Sometimes however, the part reference line may be along the centre of the beam and this can mean that dimensions are drawn from the centre of the beam instead of from the top. When you need a corner (L-shaped) base plate in your model, you can do this using the system component, U.S. Base plate (1047). In this example, we need to offset the base plate to the right and down. The right bottom corner will be cut. All of this can be done using 1047. Open up component 1047 and go to the Bolts tab.
