Opening autosaved model fails in Tekla Structures 2017 or newer if model was created in Tekla Structures 2016i or earlier

When you create a model with Tekla Structures 2016i or earlier, and open it in Tekla Structures 2017 or newer, continue working until autosave is created, close the model without saving, open the autosaved model in Tekla Structures 2017 or newer, and then save it, the next time you try to open the model, the model opening fails. There is an error message displayed Error in opening model. Model could not be opened. Check whether TeklaStructures.log contains the error message "Table read operation failed with error code -125". If it does, the error is probably caused by opening a static ID

Shared model removed from the cloud by accident

Problem: An Owner of a shared model accidentally removed the model from Tekla Model Sharing service. Now no-one can work in the shared model anymore. Can the removal be undone? Solution: Yes, it can. The removal doesn't really delete the model from the service immediately. It only marks the model as removed and this can be undone by Tekla developers. Please contact your local Tekla support for assistance. If you want to exclude your local copy of the model from the sharing service, you should use the Exclude from Sharing command instead. Tekla Model Sharing error: 'Failed to write out model changes. Reason: Operation failed.'

Question: When I Write out my model changes and updates to a Tekla Model Sharing model, it takes a lot of time, and at the end I receive an error message "Failed to write out model changes. Reason: Operation failed". Why does it fail? Answer: One of the reasons for this error is the packet size you are trying to write out and your internet connection's upload bandwidth speed limit. For security reasons the upload/download token validity time is set to 6 hours. Arc chamfer (Type 2 & 3) are not working on my sketch profile?

Question: In my sketch profile Chamfer type -1 works on all corners of my sketch profile. But when I set chamfers to arc (Type-2 or 3), it works only on one corner of the profile and not on all? STP/STEP files export for CNC cutting

There are some special CNC machines that support STP/STEP files for parts cutting/profiling, and the best method for exporting the STP files is thought the Multi Converter Extension, please find it here. Small extra solids / edges left while applying Tube to Tube connections

Question: When we apply Saddle Macro on SPD Profiles, profiling cut is not smooth and some unwanted edges leftover? Answer: The problem is due to the way Tekla creates round solids (By series of segmented facets creating round surface). Question: Why there is difference in ID to ID dimensions of the tubes between Tekla Structures and HGG post-processing software? Answer: The length appearing in HGG post processing software is depending upon the 3D geometry and not based on Tekla Solid, so it is accurate. The way Tekla models round solids is by series of segmented facets creating round surface. The differences in dimensions is due to the chord tolerance variable (XS_CHORD_TOLERANCE_FOR_TUBE_SEGMENTS) values which affects the solid creation and thus drawing lengths every time.  If you really want to get close to

Why do dimension lines in my drawings shift and how do I fix it?

Question: When I open a drawing, the dimension lines in drawings have shifted from their original position. Why is it so and how do I fix it?   Answer: Most likely this is because your model is located far away from the point of origin (0,0,0). We have seen this issue in models which are located several hundreds of kilometers away from the point of origin, e.g. x=400 000 000 mm, y=500 000 000 mm and z=300 000 000 mm.
