Troubleshooting Hole Reservation Manager

Problem: Hole Reservation Manager does not convert IFC custom attributes to User Defined Attributes of the VOIDs. Answer: Please check that you have at least the mapping file HoleReservationAttributeMapping.ini located and correctly configured in the <model>\attributes folder. Hole Reservation Manager cannot convert attributes without this file. You can download the package "ATTRIBUTE_REPORT_UI_FILES_FOR_TS2016_AND_NEWER" which contains the conversion file from Tekla Warehouse.

How to get Tekla Structures hang dump file

A dump file contains the status of the program at the moment when the dump was taken. It tells which modules were loaded and what command was being executed. Dump files can be used for debugging issues that are otherwise hard to investigate e.g. because there are no clear steps to reproduce the issue, or because the issue only occurs on a customer computer and not on the developer’s computer. This article describes how you can create a dump file manually from Tekla Structures while it is hanging / freezing / not responding. If your Tekla Structures is crashing then we recommend you follow the

How to provide your system information to your area-support

When you have a crash or a software problem that might be related to your hardware or Windows, it is always recommended to provide the System information (.nfo) file to your support. The system information contains information about the hardware and software environment of your computer. How to get the .nfo-file in Windows 10: Go to Windows Start menu and type System Information. Go to File & Save Note: When sending multiple files to your support it is always recommended to name the files in a structured order. E.g. PC_error_1.nfo , PC_Error_2.nfo, PC_Correct_1.nfo etc. Step 1

Problems with Rebar group dimensioning application

We have found problems in the Rebar groupgroup of reinforcing bars that are side by side and have identical properties, except the possible variation in bar lengths dimensioning applicationpart of Tekla Structures functionality that is developed in order to extend the capability of Tekla Structures but that is not included in the Tekla Structures installation in Tekla Structures 2017i SP5 version. They might cause the start point, location, number and/or direction of the dimension lines to be wrong, which might lead to wrong number of required reinforcing bars. We are currently investigating

How to get Tekla Structures crash dump file

Sometimes when Tekla Structures crashes there is not enough information availlable on what exactly is the reason for the crash or it might not be possible for your Tekla Structures local support team to reproduce the crash. In this case you might be requested to provide a file called crash dump. Our software developers will need this crash dump file in order to investigate what is the cause of the crash and how should they fix the issue. Prerequisite: you will need local administrator rights on your computer for completing this task. Here is the instruction describing the process of getting

Why don't part marks in a GA drawing follow part start and end points?

Question In our company we always ask our designers to pay attention to start and end point when creating a concrete panel since that defines the front face of the panel. In our CU drawings that front face is also the plaster surface by default. We only mark this plaster surface to drawings by text so there might be elements that are symmetrical in TS model side and the only way to tell how to erect them on site is to trust that the part marks in GA drawings indicate the orientation of parts correctly. We just don't seem to get the part marks the way we need them to be even though we have
