Use as a starting point when adding epoxy anchors

like a Hilti HIT-HY 150 MAX. There are only a few of these available. See Note #2.

Epoxy_Anchor_with_Screen All
Image
usa_eh_boltatt_epoxy_screen.png
Added in v18.0 as a sample of what can be done.

Unfortunately this method is too limited.

Starting in v19.0, it is recommended that you use the Custom Component named Epoxy-Anchor.

This bolt attribute was removed in v20.
Hole All
Image
usa_eh_boltatt_hole.png

Use as a starting point when adding

just holes. This is similar to the standard setting with one exception; the Include in bolt assembly: boxes are all unchecked.

usa_eh_boltatt_slev_bolt.png

Use as a starting point when adding bolt headed anchors like a Hilti HLC-H. There are only a few of these available. See Note #3.

Sleeve_Anchor_(Flat_Head) All
Image
usa_eh_boltatt_slev_flat.png
Use as a starting point when adding flat headed anchors like a Hilti HLC-FPH. There are only a few of these available. See Note #4.
Sleeve_Anchor_(Round_Head) All
Image
usa_eh_boltatt_slev_rnd.png
Use as a starting point when adding bolt headed anchors like a Hilti HLC-RS. There are only a few of these available. See Note #5.
Staggered_Holes All Coming in v2017 Use as a starting point when adding staggered holes.
Staggered_Studs All Coming in v2017 Use as a starting point when adding staggered studs.
Stud All
Image
usa_eh_boltatt_stud.png
Use as a starting point when adding studs.
Wedge_Anchor All
Image
usa_eh_boltatt_wedge.png

Use as a starting point when adding bolt headed anchors like a HILTI Kwik Bolt 3 Carbon Steel Std. There are only a few of these available. See Note #6.

Note 1:
There are only 2 diameters (1/4" and 3/8") of Flat Head bolts in the Bolt Catalog. When creating just a countersunk hole in a part in the model, use the Countersunk_Holes attribute to start with and change the Bolt size as needed. Do not change the Bolt standard or check any of the Include in bolt assembly: boxes. Countersunk holes will be displayed on the drawing as shown here. Notice that the side view does not show the tapered portion of the hole under the bolt head. Currently there is not a way to show this correctly in a side view.

Note 2:
There are only 6 diameters (1/4", 3/8" 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1") of Epoxy anchors in the Bolt Catalog. When using this attribute, change the Bolt size as needed. Do not change the Bolt standard or check any of the Include in bolt assembly: boxes. If you click the User-defined attributes button, you will find which lengths are available per diameter. This attribute can be used for Hilti HIT-HY 150 MAX anchors or equivilent. See Negative Cut Length section below for additional information.

Note 3:
There are only 3 diameters (5/16", 3/8" and 1/2") of Bolted Headed Sleeve anchors in the Bolt Catalog. When using this attribute, change the Bolt size as needed. Do not change the Bolt standard or check any of the Include in bolt assembly: boxes. If you click the User-defined attributes button, you will find which lengths are available per diameter. This attribute can be used for Hilti HLC-H anchors or equivilent. See Negative Cut Length section below for additional information.

Note 4:
There are only 2 diameters (1/4" and 3/8") of Flat Headed Sleeve anchors in the Bolt Catalog. When using this attribute, change the Bolt size as needed. Do not change the Bolt standard or check any of the Include in bolt assembly: boxes. If you click the User-defined attributes button, you will find which lengths are available per diameter. This attribute can be used for Hilti HLC-FPH anchors or equivilent. Holes in drawings for this type of anchor are displayed as countersunk holes as shown in Note 1. See Negative Cut Length section below for additional information.

Note 5:
There is only 1 diameter (1/4") of Round Headed Sleeve anchors in the Bolt Catalog. When using this attribute, do not change the Bolt standard or check any of the Include in bolt assembly: boxes. If you click the User-defined attributes button, you will find which lengths are available for this diameter. This attribute can be used for Hilti HLC-RS anchors or equivilent. See Negative Cut Length section below for additional information.

Note 6:
There are 6 diameters (1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1") of Wedge anchors in the Bolt Catalog. When using this attribute, change the Bolt size as needed. Do not change the Bolt standard or check any of the Include in bolt assembly: boxes. If you click the User-defined attributes button, you will find which lengths are available per diameter. This attribute can be used for Hilti Kwik Bolt 3 Carbon Steel Std anchors or equivilent. See Negative Cut Length section below for additional information.

Negative Cut Length
In order to use any Bolt standard that ends in ANC, the Cut length value must be a negative value equal to one of the lengths defined in the bolt catalog. For example for a 1/2" diameter wedge anchor there are 4 values (2"3/4, 3"3/4, 4"1/2 and 5"1/2) defined in the bolt catalog and to get a 4"1/2 long wedge anchor, you must enter -4"1/2 in the Cut length field.

As mentioned above we have added information about the available lengths per diameter in the User-defined attribute dialog. Just load the attribute you want to use and click the User-defined attribute button to reveal which lengths are available for that bolt standard.
