Before replacement licenses can be issued, support needs to have a screenshot showing the MAC address of the license server and all of the activated licenses on the server. Please follow the steps below to generate the required screenshot.
You should only need to perform these steps this when requested to do so by the technician you are working with at your local support. If you are not sure if these steps are appropriate, please Contact Tekla Structures support.

- Open a Command Prompt instance in the Tekla License Server install directory. This can be accomplished by:
- Browsing to the Tekla License Server install directory typing in
cmd
in the path bar and pressing enter. - From an existing Command Prompt instance, change the directory to the Tekla License Server install directory with the
cd
command followed by a space and the path to the Tekla License Server install directory. For example:cd C:\Tekla\License\Server
- Browsing to the Tekla License Server install directory typing in
- While in the Tekla License Server install directory, run
getmac
- While still in the Tekla License Server install directory, run
serveractutil –view
- Take a screenshot of the Command Prompt window showing the output of both the MAC address (
getmac
command) and activated licenses (serveractutil –view
command). - Send the screenshot back to Tekla Support.
