Question: 

Why are dimensions in my Model views not true to view? In the model, dimensions of material picked or even dimensions added are offset from the beams and have arrowheads that look unusual. I have not changed any of the symbols or Rendering settings. Other models look fine; here are some examples:

Answer:

These are all issues that surface when the model is too far from the origin. As it is explained here, you must always model parts as close as possible to the origin in Tekla Structures to avoid graphical discrepancies in both, the model and drawings. This article explains when this issue occurs in drawings. 

The resolution to this problem is to move the entire model to the origin (or closer to the origin) and, if drawings must reflect the True origin based on topographic placement/ coordinates, use Base points to do so. 

Most cases that have been reported are linked to the insertion and conversion of an IFC reference model into Tekla native objects. In this case, before converting the Model to natives, move the Reference model to the origin and then perform the conversion.
