How to open side pane windows without stacking them

When opening a new window in the side pane, the windows stack on top of each other by default.

To open a single window in the side pane, hold down the ctrl key while clicking the button.
The selected window fills the side pane, closing other open side pane windows.



Note that the side pane remains unchanged if the opened window is either floating or docked at the bottom docking area.
If there are multiple windows docked at the bottom, the CTRL+click command works similarly for the bottom area windows.
