How to Import DWF file in Tekla Structures

Question:
We have receievd DWF file from our client. How we can import it or insert it as reference file in Tekla Structures? 

Answer:
There are online tools available to convert DWF->> DWG (http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/formats.asp?fmtin=9&fmtout=1).

This tool offers a combination of DWF import to Autodesk Navisworks, and using the FBX format to transfer the 3D data from Navisworks to AutoCAD. You can use a similar way to take the CAD model also to other CAD software.

Please note that DWF is only a publishing format and the resulting converted CAD model will not have the full precision of the original and first of all it will be (by the principles of DWF) only a surface representation of the original 3D model. So  probably the easiest method is to request a dwg from the owner of the intellectual property.
