How to create additional copies of a drawing

Question:
How can I create an additional copy of a drawing?

Answer:
You can create additional copies of a drawing during its creation or after a drawing has already been created.

Creating copies during the creation of a drawing

Select the Drawing & Reports tab. Navigate to Drawing Settingssettings that control what the drawing looks like and what it includes

Drawing settings can be defined in the modeling mode when creating a drawing, and they can be modified in the drawing mode.

The range of the objects and elements that drawing settings affect may vary.

and click either Assembly Drawingdrawing that shows fabrication information for a basic or a nested assembly, including bolts and welds, and that is generally used at the workshop

Assembly drawings show how parts are located in an assembly. They contain the parts of the assembly presented in one or more views.

or Single-Part Drawingdrawing that shows fabrication information for one part and that is generally used at the workshop

depending on which you wish to create.

Drawing & Reports > Drawing Settings > Assembly Drawing

Add a Sheet number value, click Apply to apply your settings. Click OK.

Generate a new drawing of your selected assembly/part. You can repeat this action as many times as needed, each Sheet number value creates a new drawing which appears in the Drawing Listlist of drawings that provides information about the drawings in a particular model and that is used for searching, managing, and printing the drawings

In the drawing list, the user can, for example, search, open, update, freeze, lock, and delete drawings. The drawing list can also be used to display the associations between the drawings and the parts in the model.

Drawing list is used in Tekla Structures until version 2018. See document manager.
