You can use organizer’s location based categorization to automatically select objects between specified grids.
See below steps.
Step 1: Define Boundary boxuser-defined box that defines which model objects are placed in the same location category in Organizer
for your entire building.
Here you can define extent of your building in all 3 directions X, Y & Z (vertical). You can specify end grids e.g. Here building in x-direction lies between Gridmodeling aid that represents a three-dimensional complex of intersecting grid planes or intersecting grid planes and curved grid surfaces
The grid is defined by coordinates in 3D space. It is shown two-dimensionally on the view plane by dash-and-dot lines. A grid can be rectangular or radial.
It is possible to have more than one grid in a model. For example, a large-scale grid for the entire structure, and smaller grids for some detailed sections.
It is also possible to show grids and grid line labels in drawings, and to modify how they are shown in the drawings.
1 & Grid 34. and in y-direction it is between Grid C to Grid A1 as shown below.
Step 2: Define Grid wise sections in sections’ tab. (depends on how you want your quantities.)
Here we are defining sections e.g. we want to generate quantities between grid 1 to grid 6 as one group, grid 6 to grid 11 etc.
Step 3: Then select created section from categories list on right side panel in organizertool that is used for categorizing and managing model information, object properties and object property queries, and model object classification
Organizer consists of two tools, object browser and categories.
to get corresponding object quantities in left side Object browsertool in Organizer used to inquire, view, and report model information based on selected model objects
Please read more information on creating location based categories in organizer on below link.
