Question:
How can I export VOID parts from Tekla Structures to IFC?
Answer:
Use Coordination view 1.0 for IFC export. It exports the openings as "voids" that can be reported on.

You cannot use Coordination view 2.0. It uses CSG (constructive solid geometry), where cuts are boolean operations. More information about CSG (Constructive Solid Geometry) can be found here for example here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constructive_solid_geometry
The type of export is defined in the Export to IFC dialog > Export type:
