Question:
When I go to export a 3D DWG/DXF. After the export I open the model and do not see the grid. How do I get the grid with the 3D model?
Answer:
When you export a 3D DWG/DXF from the model the command is only going to export solid objects. The grid it is not a solid object, therefore, you need to use a different method.
The simplest option is to create a General arrangement drawing showing the full grid. You can create the drawing at a scale of 1. After the drawing is created you can right click on the drawing and convert the drawing to DXF or DWG.
