Question:
I have two beams and if I delete one of the beams, the components of the other beam will also disappear. This happens up to a distance beam <-> beam of <=225 mm, about this limit not. How to prevent this?

Answer:
This happens because the beams are so close each other that Tekla Structures considers the profiles to be twin profiles.  To prevent this, you need to adjust the search distance for twin profiles:
1. Add a user-defined attribute MAX_TWIN_SEARCH_DIST to the profile catalog. See the picture below.
2. Define the value for example to be 50 mm. That distance is measured between the profile center lines.

Then beams that are closer than 50 mm distance to each other are then handled as twin profile, so if you delete another, the components in another will be deleted too.
This only works for standard profiles, but not for parametric profiles.
