Download content from Tekla Warehouse
You can download content as files from Tekla Warehouseservice for collaboration and for storing and sharing Tekla Structures content
In Tekla Warehouse the content items are stored in collections. Tekla Warehouse includes the Tekla Warehouse Service and the Tekla Warehouse web site.
Tekla Warehouse is one of the Tekla Online services.

Download a content item
In Tekla Warehouse you can download such content as model templates, model objectobject that is represented in a model

To download content as files from Tekla Warehouse :
- Log in to Tekla Warehouse and do one of the following:
- Use Search to locate the relevant content itemlogical group of content files
A content item can be, for example, a product catalog or a model template. Content items can be labeled by type and use case to help find the content. Content items may have versions that work with different versions of Tekla Structures.
. - Go to My Warehouse and browse for the local or network collection from which you want to use content. Then select the collection.
- Use Search to locate the relevant content itemlogical group of content files
- Select the content item to download.
- If there are versions of the content, ensure that you download the version that is compatible with your Tekla Structures version.
- Click Just download.
A .zip file is downloaded onto your computer in the
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tekla\TeklaWarehouse\Temp\Download
folder. - Extract the .zip file to the appropriate location, for example, to your desktop.
- Open Tekla Structures and use the appropriate import command to import the downloaded content.
For example, if the content contains profile export files ( .lis ), do one of the following:
- In Tekla Structures 2016 or newer, go to the File menu and click Catalogs > Profile catalog .
- In Tekla Structures 21.1 or older, click Modeling > Profiles > Profile Catalog .
Then, in the Modify Profile Catalog dialog box, click Import... to select and import the files.
Download an application
You can download applications from Tekla Warehouse and then install the applications on your computer.
Applications are software that use Tekla Open APIapplication programming interface that lets third-party applications integrate to and communicate with Tekla Structures
Tekla Open API enables, for example, customizing Tekla Structures.
to interact with Tekla Structures , for example, data integration links to design solutions.
Applications are downloaded as .msi or .tsep files, or as .zip files that contain .exe files.
To download an applicationpart of Tekla Structures functionality that is developed in order to extend the capability of Tekla Structures but that is not included in the Tekla Structures installation
from Tekla Warehouse :
- Log in to Tekla Warehouse and do one of the following:
- Use Search to locate the relevant content item.
- Go to My Warehouse and browse for the local or network collection from which you want to use content. Then select the collection.
- Select the content item to download.
- If there are versions of the content, ensure that you download the version that is compatible with your Tekla Structures version.
- Depending on the platform, click Download 64-bit , Download 32-bit , or Download.
An .msi file, a .tsep file, or a .zip file is downloaded onto your computer in the
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tekla\TeklaWarehouse\Temp\Download
folder. - Depending on the application file format, do one of the following:
- For an .msi file, run the file to install the application.
- For a .tsep file, import the file to the Tekla Structures Applications & components catalog using Extension manager.
- For a .zip file, extract the file to the appropriate location, for example, to your desktop. Then run the .exe file to install the application.
