Tower View Creator

Tower View Creator is an extension which create side views for 'Tower Line Tool'. As the views are created along the slope, it is easy for the user to work on specific side views created on slope if the tower line is tapered.

How to locate

The installers are available at Transmission Tower Collection. After installaion, the Tower view creator comes under Transmission Tower Collection in the Applicationpart of Tekla Structures functionality that is developed in order to extend the capability of Tekla Structures but that is not included in the Tekla Structures installation

& Components. The icon is as shown below.


Input for this extension:

Select Tower Line for which the views are to be created. This should be done before running the Tower View Creator extension. No need to select if there is only one Tower Line in the model as that is automatically considered as input for the Tower View Creator.

Extension Window:


Check/ uncheck checkboxes for the views which needs to be created. Group uncheck/ check button provided for each group for easiness. Give the view names in the respective text boxes. Give the view depths for a different one than default. Use set work planeplane that the user has chosen in a model and that is currently active for working on in a model view

Newly created, copied, or moved model objects comply with the work plane. For example, shifting the work plane to follow a sloped plane makes it easier to model sloped structures.

Check views dialog. You can see the newly created views there. If you set work plane to a particular plane, then that view with work plane set on the view, will be opened as default viewview that is created for a selected part or component and whose view plane is defined by the coordinate system of the selected part or component

Tekla Structures creates four default views at the same time: front, top, end, and 3D views. Each default view can have its own view properties.
