Goal and description

Two plugins for text creation in Tekla Structures as contour plates or polygon cuts.

Configuration

Tekla Structures Version 2018 and above
.NET Framework version: 4.5.1
Environments:  All

Installation Text Plugins

To install the application:
If Tekla Structures is not started:
    Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse
    Double-click on the .tsep file.
    In Tekla Structures Extension Manager, select the versions of Tekla Structures for which you want to install the application
    Click on "Import".
or
    Copy the .tsep file under .\TeklaStructures\[version]\Extensions\To be installed
    Start Tekla Structures.

If Tekla Structures is started:
    Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse.
    Click on the button menu in the Application & Components side panel and select Extension Manager.
    Click on Import.
    Select the .tsep file and click Open.
    Restart Tekla Structures to complete the installation.

Using Text Plugins

You will find the extension in the form of two macros in ‘text plugins’ category in Applications & components.

Text Contour Plate

Text Contour Plate plugin allows you to create a text as contour plates between two selected points (1st point on the left of the text)

 1 - Text input, which will be modeled
 2 - Font (installed on your machine)
 3 - Font size
 4 - Style applied to the string
 5 - Accuracy of character modeling
 6 - Horizontal alignment of the text
 7 - Vertical alignment of the text
 8 - Thickness of the contour plates
 9 - Depth of the contour plates
 10 - Rotation of the contour plates
 11 - Properties of the contour plates (Name, material, numbering)

Boolean Text

Boolean Text plugin allows you to create a text by selecting a face of the contour plate then two points (1st point on the left of the text).
The text will be created as polygon cuts inside the contour plate with ‘Cut-in’ option and as additional contour plates with ‘Relief’ option.

Similar parameters except for the following:
 1 - Option for cut-in or Relief text
 2 - Properties of the contour plates (Name, material, numbering) available only with ‘Relief’ option.
