Purpose and description

This extension is used for creating customer configurations. A firm folder and a role file will be created.
The extension can also be used for setting up configurations sent by customers.

System requirements

Tekla Structures configuration:          All
Environments:                                    All
Tekla Structures minimum version: 16.1
.NET Framework version: 4.0

Installing Tekla Structures Configurator

To install the extension:

1. Download Tekla Structures Configurator package from Tekla Warehouse.
2. Extract the file package. The Tekla Structures Configurator installation folder is located in the Program Files folder.

Using Tekla Structures Configurator

Start the extension by double-clicking the Tekla Structures Configurator icon on the desktop or from the Start menu. Do not open Tekla Structures.
You can change the language in the extension settings.

To use the extension,  answer the wizard questions and click Next:



At the end, your configuration will be available in the Role list at Tekla Structures startup:

You can change the extension settings by clicking the settings button on the title bar:



You can add rows in the role_Prototype.ini file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Tekla Structures Configurator.

Additional information

• The extension does not work with environments without a role file, for example Japan.
• Images in the \Symbols folder are visible in the template editor only if the editor preferences are changed.
