Installing Stepped Footing

To install the application:
  1. Close Tekla Structures (if running)
  2. Download MSI Installer from Tekla Warehouse
  3. Install and run MSI Installer
  4. Start Tekla Structures
  5. Open Model
  6. Before version 2016:  A new toolbar icon which will launch the tool should now be visible. For 2016 version and newer: a new thumbnail under Ungrouped items in the Applications and components side pane will appear.

Using Stepped Footing

To place this tool, there needs to existing strip footings that differ in elevation. Select the upper (higher elevation) strip footing and then the lower strip footing. The tool adds the concrete needed and based on the settings you chose.

Picture Tab:

Different options to set how the step is create (see below). Options to add it to the cast unit, match the width of the primary (higher footing) or secondary (lower footing) and if you want to fit the ends of the step.

Option 1:

Define the distance of each leg

Option 2:

Define the slope with A and B and set the bottom width.

Part Tab:

This tab allows you to set if you want to match the properties of either the primary or secondary. The custom option allows you to manually set what the properties will be of the step footing.
