Rebar group marking

Use for:

Marking rebar groups and defining the distribution area.

Examples:

Examples

Selection order:

  1. Select the rebar groupgroup of reinforcing bars that are side by side and have identical properties, except the possible variation in bar lengths

    (s) to be marked.
  2. Pick point P1.
  3. Pick point P2.

Point P1 is the position of the leader lineline that connects an annotation object to the related object or point

.

Point P2 is the position of the mark.

(In the Geometry tab image below, the points P1 and P2 to be picked are displayed in lists of the available mark options, see tab Geometry.)

Option

Description

Define the shape of the rebar mark. In the following options, the terms Leader line and Mark line are used. These are displayed in the following images:

A

·         Leader line perpendicular to the rebars

·         Mark line parallel to the rebars

B

·         Leader line perpendicular to the rebars

·         Mark line also perpendicular to the rebars

C

·         Leader line perpendicular to the rebars

·         Mark line is horizontal

D

·         Leader line perpendicular to the rebars

·         Mark line is vertical

E

·         Leader line direction is defined by an angle relative to the rebars. The angle can be entered in box A2.

·         Mark line direction is defined by an angle relative to the horizontal line. The angle can be entered in box A1.

F

·         See the image for the points P1 and P2 to pick in this option. Use box B to define the distance for the marks.

Define an offset for Mark 3 in relation to the mark line.

Marks tab

On this tab, you can define the content for the rebar marks. The content of the rebar marks is divided in three separate marks: Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 3. The following image shows the position of each mark within the entire rebar mark:

Available elements

In this list you can select the desired information (for the rebars) to be displayed in the mark such as grade, diameter and cc distances:

Text properties

Select the text properties in which the mark must be displayed. The available options are the settings which can be defined in Text properties:

Create

Define whether the mark should be created or not. The options are:

·         Yes

·         No

Rebar pos / Text prop

Define whether and how the rebar position must be displayed in the mark. The options are:

Lines and symbols tab

On this tab, you can define the generation and layout of the lines and the symbols for the rebar mark.

The following options apply for the Visualised rebars of the rebar group:

Option

Description

Define the Color and Line type for the Distribution line and the Leader line.

Define the generation of the symbols/lines for the dimension line. You can do this here for the visible bars. The options are:

Examples:

Define the color and the line type for the lines.

Define the used symbol. You can use existing symbols in Tekla Structures by selecting a symbol file and a symbol number. Example:

Define the color and the size for the possible used symbols.

The following options apply for Not visualised rebars and First and last rebar. These are applicable if the option bar in the middle of group is set in Drawing reinforcement properties:

Define if symbols/lines should be applied for Not visualised rebars or First and last rebar.

Option Not visualised rebars:

Option First and last rebar:

Define the generation of the symbols/lines for the dimension line. The options are:

Define the color and the line type for the lines.

Define the used symbol. You can use existing symbols in Tekla Structures by selecting a symbol file and a symbol number.

Define the color and the size for the possible used symbols.
