Rebar Tag

Rebar Tag allows you to create ‘Rebar Tags’ for selected rebar / rebar groupgroup of reinforcing bars that are side by side and have identical properties, except the possible variation in bar lengths

in the drawing. This plugincomponent that is developed using Tekla Open API

Plugin is a .dll file and loaded inside Tekla Structures process.

Plugins can be started from the applications and components catalog.

A drawing view is a container for model and drawing objects.

A drawing can include several drawing views, which usually are two-dimensional views, plane views, to the model.

Examples of drawing views in Tekla Structures include main views, section views, single-part views, and 3D views.

How to Locate

Rebar Tag will be available in the Applications & Components cataloguser interface for displaying or modifying information in categorized lists

For example, profile catalog and shape catalog are catalogs.

when drawing is open after the installation by the name “Rebar Tag”

Double click the component to open the dialog box to edit the required properties.


Click the component thumbnail image or the component name in the Applications & components catalog to activate the tool. Then select Rebar/ rebar group in the drawing and click to locate point to create Rebar Tags for selected rebar / rebar group.

1. Select the Tag attribute you want to use for creating Rebar Tag. This attribute can be saved from rebar mark properties dialog. 

2. Choose Tag Pattern for tags created for rebar group.

3. Select Tag orientation.


4. Give rotation Angle to rotate tag. Angle will be with respect to orientation selected in point no 3.
