Goal and description

This plugin allows you to create basic points according to levels of one or more grids.

Tekla Structures 2019 and above

Installation Base Point on Grid

To install the application:

If Tekla Structures is not started:
    Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse
    Double-click on the .tsep file.
    In Tekla Structures Extension Manager, select the versions of Tekla Structures for which you want to install the application.
    Click on "Import".
or
    Copy the .tsep file under .\TeklaStructures\[version]\Extensions\To be installed

    Start Tekla Structures.

If Tekla Structures is started:
    Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse.
    Click on the button menu in the Application & Components side panel and select Extension Manager.
    Click on Import.
    Select the .tsep file and click Open.
    Restart Tekla Structures to complete the installation.

Using Base Point on Grid

You will find the extension in the form of one plugin in Ungrouped elements in Applications & components.

The plugin creates the base points defined in the dialog with a name and a Z coordinate.

Select a grid (or more) in a model view and click on "Selected grids"
Activate the level (s) you want by checking the corresponding box
Give a name to your base point
Click on "Create". The plugin then creates the base points in X=0, Y=0, Z=selected level and with the name given in the dialog box

If the base point already exists a message appears:

You can still create it by changing the name.
If the base point name already exists you will get an error message:

Change the name and you can create it.
