This plugincomponent that is developed using Tekla Open API
Plugin is a .dll file and loaded inside Tekla Structures process.
Plugins can be started from the applications and components catalog.
allows you to create basic points according to levels of one or more grids.
Tekla Structures 2019 and above
.NET Framework version: 4.5.1
To install the applicationpart of Tekla Structures functionality that is developed in order to extend the capability of Tekla Structures but that is not included in the Tekla Structures installation
If Tekla Structures is not started:
Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouseservice for collaboration and for storing and sharing Tekla Structures content
In Tekla Warehouse the content items are stored in collections. Tekla Warehouse includes the Tekla Warehouse Service and the Tekla Warehouse web site.
Tekla Warehouse is one of the Tekla Online services.
Double-click on the .tsep file.
In Tekla Structures Extension Manager, select the versions of Tekla Structures for which you want to install the application.
Click on "Import".
Copy the .tsep file under .\TeklaStructures\[version]\Extensions\To be installed
Start Tekla Structures.
If Tekla Structures is started:
Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse.
Click on the button menu in the Application & Components side panel and select Extension Manager.
Click on Import.
Select the .tsep file and click Open.
Restart Tekla Structures to complete the installation.
You will find the extension in the form of one plugin in Ungrouped elements in Applications & components.
The plugin creates the base points defined in the dialog with a name and a Z coordinate.
Select a gridmodeling aid that represents a three-dimensional complex of intersecting grid planes or intersecting grid planes and curved grid surfaces
The grid is defined by coordinates in 3D space. It is shown two-dimensionally on the view plane by dash-and-dot lines. A grid can be rectangular or radial.
It is possible to have more than one grid in a model. For example, a large-scale grid for the entire structure, and smaller grids for some detailed sections.
It is also possible to show grids and grid line labels in drawings, and to modify how they are shown in the drawings.
(or more) in a model viewview that is represented in the modeling mode
Model view is available also in the drawing mode and it is represented in its own window.
and click on "Selected grids"
Activate the level (s) you want by checking the corresponding box
Give a name to your base pointpoint in a model that is used to define a starting point in surveying and that is used as an anchor point in coordinate and height transformations
A Tekla Structures project can have several base points but only one of them can be the project base point.
Base points allow the use of another coordinate system needed for interoperability and collaboration. Base points can also be used in drawings, and in reports and templates. Model origin is the default base point in Tekla Structures.
Base points are also called control points.
Click on "Create". The plugin then creates the base points in X=0, Y=0, Z=selected level and with the name given in the dialog box
If the base point already exists a message appears:
You can still create it by changing the name.
If the base point name already exists you will get an error message:
Change the name and you can create it.
