Plan Cut

Use Plan Cut when two members ( 'L' sections) flanges are intersecting at 90 degree and if both flanges need to be cut at same time. This happens at the corners of transimission towers transitions.

How to locate

The installers are available at Transmission Tower Collection. After installing, Plan Cut come under Transmission Tower Collection in the Applications & components. Or else search for Plan Cut in Application
&components. Icon for Plan Cut as shown below.
 

Usage

Input for this extension:

Pick primary (L section) and secondary (L section). The members should be 90 degrees each other and the flanges from the plan view should have a clash before applying this tool.

Here heel offset decided by direct offset values (default is flange thickness). or else by gap. Cut angle can be decided by angle input or providing member  offset along the member

Sample output

Input:

Here pick first member (1) and second member(2). Here the members going to get cut is L50*5 and 25 mm end offset provided for both members.

Output:

Cut create based on defaults. Parameters can be altered from extension dialog.
 

Direct Manipulation Features

The Plan cut tool is equipped with direct manipulation features. This get enabled by activating the following 'Direct Modification (D)' switch.
 

Contextual Toolbar:

Contextual toolbar is a mini toolbar which gets opened once click on component in 'Select Components' and click on cubic button as shown below. Please make sure that the Direct Modification (D) switch is active. This enable user to change frequently used attributes very ease with out opening extension dialog.
