The PEB End plate to flange rotated allows you to create an end plate connection between a PEB member connecting member end to a PEB member flange. The connection is similar to a seating / end plate connection.

How to locate

The installers are available at Pre-Engineered Building Tools for Tekla Structures version 21.0 and above.
After installation, PEB End plate to flange rotated will be available in the Applications & Components.

Usage

Click PEB End plate to flange rotated in the component catalog. The input components should be PEB member. The primary and secondary web should be perpendicular and the rotation angle of the secondary should be 90 degrees.

Interior column connection:
Select the rafter component first, and then the column component as input for an interior column connection.

End plate connection:
Select the primary component first, and then the secondary component as input for an end plate connection.

Plate placement

End plate and insert plate can be defined from here. You can modify various values based on the end plate length options and insert plate options.

Unlike in other PEB connections, here Bolt XY list is provided considering the various connection conditions.

Parts

You can define part parameters such as width, thickness, part prefix, part number, material, name and class on this tab. If plate profile name is default, it reads from Menu>Settings>Options>Components>ProfileNames>Plate. The same profile name is applicable for stiiffeners also.

Far and near stiffeners have separate options. Top weld notch can also be defined separately.
Weld notch value is common for all notches.

Tips

For this extension to work properly, the secondary member should cross both flanges of the primary member.
