Purpose and description

This tool is part of the Framecad integration extension. The tool is used to import framecad detailer .fim files. The .fim file format was developed by framecad to enable integration with 3rd party applications such as Tekla Structures. The file contains the 3d model information as detailed in framecad detailer. The purpose of this import is to update the Tekla Structures model with elements created in Framecad detailer.

To use the extension:

In the Applications and Components browser, locate the Import from Framecad macro then double click the icon.
In the dialog click the browse button (...) and locate the fim file to import.
The .fim file should contain the profile dimensions and an appropriate CC profile will be used. If the file does not contain profile data the Default profile will be used.
