Hoop Bars

The Hoop bar plug-incomponent that is developed using Tekla Open API

Plug-in is a .dll file and loaded inside Tekla Structures process.

Plug-ins can be started from the applications and components catalog.

allows to create the hoop reinforcement in tanks and conical shaped structures.

How to Locate

'Hoop Bars' plugin is available in 'Application and Component' after installation.
 

Usage

Click the icon ‘Hoop Bars’ from 'Application and Component'.

Input order

1) Pick part. Select the concrete member.
2) Pick the first set of three points. The picked three points should be on the outer surface of the curved member as shown below.
   

3) Pick the second set of three points. The picked three points should be on the outer surface of the curved member as shown below.
 

After applying plug-in the reinforcement is arranged as shown below

 

Plug-in Dialog

Parameters
 

Arrangement options This option define the span of the rebar either full circle or specific range. This has the following options
Range by first picked points
Full circle

Lap Type

This has the following options
Lap by stock length
Lap by number

Stock length option automatically apply lap if the rebar exceeds the stock lenght.
For lap by number user can difine the number of laps for a rebar.

Staggered lap
 
User can create staggered lapping with this option and can give the desired offset.

Other offsets
 
User can define the lap length, edge covers and surface cover from the above options.

Group
 

Creation method This will deside the number of layers of  hoops for a member.
  
This has the following options
Number of hoop layers
Spacing

Offsets
 
First Offset refers to the First picked points and second offset is for second picked points.
user can set the top and bottom cover offsets with this options.

Rebar Properties
 

User can difine the rebar properties from the above dialog.

Code
 This is for noting purpose. we can take this note to rebar UDAobject property created by the user in order to widen the range of predefined object properties

User-defined attributes are used when the predefined object properties are not sufficient but more properties are needed. For example, comment, locked, and erection status are user-defined attributes.

Additional Information

This plug-in is used to create hoop reinforcement in conical structures and Circular tanks as well.

Limitations

This Plug-in does not work for circular members which are made with Circular columns.
