It is custom attribute to calculate the customized weight for 'Billing' purpose for contour plates and beam plates.
How to Locate
After successful installation of Billing Weight setup , you can find the report templatetemplate that is used for creating a report
file 'Billing_Weight.rpt' in the folder "..\Environments\Common\template"
Name of the attribute is 'CUSTOM.BILLINGWEIGHT'
It consideres the following parameter to re-calculate the weight:
1. HOLEsmall hollow open throughout a part or assembly that is usually used for fastening parts with bolts or other such objects
Hole is created in the same way as bolts and hole properties are defined in the bolt properties.
_AREA_LIMIT - This value can be set such that if area of holes (combined area of all bolt holes) is more than this limit (in mm2) then only it's weight is deducted while calculating Billing weight.
2. NOTCH_AREA_LIMIT - This value can be set such that if area of notch (cuts on edges / chamfers) is more than this limit (in mm2) then only it's weight is deducted while calculating Billing weight.
3. OPENING_AREA_LIMIT - This value can be set such that if area of opening (part cutcut that is defined by a cutting part
or polygon cutcut that is defined by a polygon
) is more than this limit (in mm2) then only it's weight is deducted while calculating Billing weight.
The above parametes values can be configured in the file 'BillingWeightCalculations.config', located in the folder "..\Environments\common\extensions\custom\properties" folder. This file can be copied to model folderfolder that is used for storing files associated with a model
Tekla Structures stores all files associated with a model in a folder it creates with the same name as the model database (.db1).
In multi-user mode all users access the same model folder.
for further change.
The sample of the config file is;
** all areas entered in sq mm
** Below area limits will be used in weight calculations for CUSTOM.BILLINGWEIGHT
** Volume of holes, notches and opening is not considered in weight calculations if plan area of these are more than below limits.
** And volume for these is considered if plan area is less than below limits. (Gross weight > BillingWeight > net weight)
