Use the Parameters tab in the Duggan Steel VCR Cover Channel Properties panel to control how the connecting members are defined within Tekla Structures.

| Position (Front, Back) | This specifies which side of the vcr to attach the cover channel to. If this is set to Front then it will attach to the top flange of the vcr. The Back option similarly causes the cover channel to attach to the bottom flange of the vcr. | The default is set to Front. | |
| Cut back start | This sets the distance from the start of the vcr to the start of the cover channel. | This value will come from the data files. | |
| Cut back end | This sets the distance from the end of the vcr to the end of the cover channel. | This value will come from the data files. | |
| Group | This sets the class that all parts will be included in. | The default setting is 99. | |
| Bolt standard (Multiple choices) | This sets the bolt standard of bolts to both the primary and secondary members in the joint. The Default setting is 4.6CSK. | The default is set to Default. | |
| Fixing Location (Default, Site, Workshop) | This specifies the type of bolt to use. Workshop will bolt the two items together and they will become part of a single assembly. If set to Default the setting is Site. | The default is set to Default. |
