Use the Parameters tab in the Duggan Steel Non-Continuous Rail Properties panel to control how the connecting members are defined within Tekla Structures.

Cleat Thickness | This specifies the thickness of the standard cleat. | The default setting is 10mm. | |||||
Free Dist to Secondary | This is the distance from the face (web or flange) of the supporting member to the cut end of the supported member. If 0 value is entered here then the clearance will be set to zero. Any other value entered here will be added to the default value of 5mm, Example "1" would equal 6mm. | The default will give a minimum clearance of 5mm. | Image

Bolt Centres | This centres between the two bolts in the bolt on plate in mm. If centres is zero one bolt will be placed in the plate. | This value will come from the data files. | Image

Bolt Edge Distance | This specifies the distance between the centre of the bolt and the edge on both sides of the cleat, this will alter the width of the cleat. | This value will come from the data files. | Image

Plate Length | This specifies the length of the plate. | This value will come from the data files. | |||||
Bolt to Column Distance | This sets the distance from the front of the cleat in mm. | This value will come from the data files. | |||||
Put cleats on (Below, Above) | This specifies the positions where cleats are to be applied. The position is determined relative to the secondary that is picked, looking along the secondary and into the joint. | The default is set to Below. |
