The Duggan Steel Non-Continuous Rail System joint is normally used when the specified column face to cladding distance is less than that possible for the standard purlin/rail joint. The joint can handle flush or recessed sheeting lines. A non-standard cleat, (either angle or tee), is welded to the column, and bolted to the rail using holes along the standard gauge lines.
