Draw Rebar Pullouts

 Description:

This tool creates bending shapes for rebars using the Rebar pullout picture and marking (m050) drawing plugin. This tool can create bending shapes automatically for multiple rebars at one go.

The tool is executed based on a selection. The selection can consist of several methods:

  • Reinforcements: bending shapes are only created for the selected rebars.
  • Parts: bending shapes are created for rebars in the concrete part concerned.
  • Views: bending shapes are created for rebars in the drawing viewview that includes selected model objects or an area in the model, that is represented in a drawing

A drawing view is a container for model and drawing objects.

A drawing can include several drawing views, which usually are two-dimensional views, plane views, to the model.

Examples of drawing views in Tekla Structures include main views, section views, single-part views, and 3D views.

    concerned.
  • Drawing from drawing listlist of drawings that provides information about the drawings in a particular model and that is used for searching, managing, and printing the drawings

In the drawing list, the user can, for example, search, open, update, freeze, lock, and delete drawings. The drawing list can also be used to display the associations between the drawings and the parts in the model.

: bending shapes are created for rebars in the drawing(s) concerned.

If necessary, you can also create bending shapes through associative notes.

Create the bending shapes using the drawing plugin Rebar pullout picture and marking (m050).

Define the used setting in drawing plugin Rebar pullout picture and marking (m050):

See also the drawing plugin Rebar pullout picture and marking (m050) help page for more information.

Associative note

Create the bending shapes using associative notes.

Define the used setting for the Associative note properties. It is important to define at least one pullOut setting in the content:

Create pullout for

Each rebar position number

A bending shape is created for each position number of the rebar.

Each rebar group

A bending shape is created for each rebar group.

Position

Defines the position of the bending shapes relative to the concrete part. The options are:

Above and Bottom

Positions the bending shapes above and on the bottom of the concrete part

Bottom

Positions the bending shapes on the bottom of the concrete part

Above

Positions the bending shapes above the concrete part

Left

Positions the bending shapes on the left of the concrete part

Right

Positions the bending shapes on the right of the concrete part

Classes

To include or exclude certain rebar classes.

Define the Class of the rebars. Use the Exclude/Include list to define whether to create a bending shape for those rebars.

Rebar types

To include or exclude certain bending shapes.

Here you can define the shapecode(s) of the rebars. Use Exclude/Include list to define whether to create a bending shape for those rebars.

You can inquire the shapecode of a rebar using Inquire – Object.
