Convert to layout component
With this component you can convert slabs, wallplate that represents a structure such as a wall or roof panel
In Tekla Structures, a panel is created by picking two or more points.
In cast-in-place concrete the term wall refers to a concept similar to panel.
panels or IFCfile format commonly used in BIM that facilitates software interoperability
IFC is an open specification developed by the IAI (International Alliance for Interoperability).
Model can be exported into an IFC file.
objects into Wall layout or Floor layout components.
|Layout component||Select the type of layout you want to covert to. The options are 'Wall layout' or 'Floor layout'.|
|Attribute settings||Select the desired saved attributes for the layout component. The layout component is created initially using these saved settings. Naturally you can modify the settings afterwards by modifying the layout directly.|
|Direction||With this option you can control layout direction.
For a 'Wall layout' you can switch the depth direction of the layers in a multi layer 'Wall layout'.
For a 'Floor layout' you can control the direction of the floor slabs.
|Convert selected||Select the model objects you want to convert and click this button to convert selected objects. These can be either slabs, wall panels, IFC slabs or IFC walls.
When selection contains native slabs or wall panels which were converted succesfully an additional question is shown whether to delete the original objects or not. Please note that IFC objects are never deleted.
The tool uses "convert as extrusion" functionality when converting the IFC objects. This means the IFC has to be of type "coordination view 2.0". "Surface geometry" is not supported.
