Clip Off Cut

Use Clip off Cut to cut an 'L' section flange at an angle by picking a point on the flage which needs to cut. This type of cut used widely in Transmission Tower detailing to remove unwanted flange projection.

How to locate

The installers are available at Transmission Tower Collection. After installing, Clip off Cut come under Transmission Tower Collection in the Applications & components. Or else search for Clip off Cut in Application & components. Icon for Clip off Cut as shown below.
 

Usage

Input for this extension:

A member ('L' section) and a point. Clicking on the icon ask to pick member and then a point. Point can be anywhere at the flange which needs to be cut. It create a cut at angle.

Default heel offset is flange thickness.
Defaut cut angle is 45 degee.

Sample Output

Pick Member (1 in picture), Pick Point (2 in picture). Cut create with values in dialog.
 

Direct Manipulation Features

The Clip Off Cut tool is equipped with direct manipulation features. This get enabled by activating the following 'Direct Modification (D)' switch.

Contextual Toolbar:

Contextual toolbar is a mini toolbar which gets opened once click on component in 'Select Components' and click on cubic button as shown below. Please make sure that the Direct Modification (D) switch is active. This enable user to change frequently used attributes very ease with out opening extension dialog.
