Goal and description
This plugin allows the installation of complementary reinforcement in double walls.
Seven shapes are available for extra reinforcement:
1 - With frame (stirrup)
2 - With U
3 - Shape U with skin shift
4 - Shape U shift and angle
5 - Shape U exceeding
6 - With two frames
7 - With bottle frame
When reinforcements exceed the contours of the walls and require the use of a special formwork (polystyrene) in the workshop, the plugin creates special formwork surfaces with surface treatment. Information regarding special formwork can be displayed on the drawings and used in Unitechnik export.
Possibility to create a formwork part to group all extra reinforcement. The TOTAL_REBAR_WEIGHT user attribute of the part corresponds to the total weight of the reinforcement.
A symbol is displayed in the model view to show extra reinforcement orientation.
Installation Extra reinforcement
To install the plugin:
If Tekla Structures is not started:Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse.
Double-click on the .tsep file.
In Tekla Structures Extension Manager, select the versions of Tekla Structures for which you want to install the application.
Click on "Import".
or
Copy the .tsep file under .\TeklaStructures\[version]\Extensions\To be installed
Start Tekla Structures.
If Tekla Structures is started:
Download the appropriate TSEP (Tekla Structures Extension Package) file from Tekla Warehouse.
Click on the button menu in the Application & Components side panel and select Extension Manager.
Click on Import.
Select the .tsep file and click Open.
Restart Tekla Structures to complete the installation.
Two plugins will appear in PRECAST group > MCI in the Applications & Components side panelinstaller le plugin:

Using Extra reinforcement
Plugin CFA : select a top, bottom or side face of a wall or opening. Extra reinforcement is automatically placed inside the double wall along the entire length of the selected face according to the parameters in the dialog box.
Plugin CFA 2 points : in addition to the face, select the start and end point of the extra reinforcement.
Tab Section:
1- Extra reinforcement shape (7 different shapes)
2- Parent shell for the extra reinforcement
3- Side cover thickness definition (manual value, automatic 1 mesh layer, automatic 2 mesh layers)
4- Extra reinforcement height and ties location
5- Rebar number and properties
6- Extra reinforcement stirrups distribution. Two options: Equal distribution or exact spacing values
Tab Parameters:
7- Redefine position to choose again the face of the wall when the extra reinforcement is in a wrong position after double wall modification
8- Start and End offset
9- Vertical offset
10- Option for a skewed extra reinforcement
11- Class for special formwork surfaces
12- Main bars, stirrups and ties properties
13- Formwork part creation and properties. The formwork part will group all the reinforcements. Three options: None, ‘Yes - Link with extra reinforcement’(reinforcements are attached to the formwork part), ‘Yes – No link with extra reinforcement'
Tab Splicing:
14- Option for anchoring or splicing with splicing length parameter (auto=-1)
15- Option for bar end shape (none, 90° or 135° hook). Parameter for anchoring or splicing length (auto=-1)
16- Option for material (list of materials defined in CFA.inp file). Option for seismic. Parameter for aggregate diameter (mm)
When the user ask for three main bars, the aggregate diameter is used for cover thickness calculation between the second and the third barl:
Value = max (20 mm, main bar diameter, aggregate diameter + 5 mm)
For anchoring and splicing length, the user can set a value or ask for an automatic calculation (-1).
Configuration
Automatic radius and length of the 90° and 135° hook are defined in the rebar configuration file (rebar_database.inp)
Automatic length of anchoring/splicing is defined in the configuration file Environments\common\extensions\CFA\CFA.inp (length = main bar diameter x factor according to material and seismic option)
General parameters are defined in the extension configuration file Environments\common\system\CFA.config.xml
codeRegle: line attribute for contour used for Unitechnik export. The value is added as UDA to surface objects for special formworks.
colorST: color of surface treatment in the model view for special formworks. Seven colors available: White, Red, Green, Cyan, Blue, Yellow and Magenta.
