Purpose and description

This is a tool to add a basic suspended ceiling layout

Using the Ceiling Tool


To use the extension:

  1. Select the ceiling tool
  2. select points in the model to define a polygon to specify the ceiling layout

Frame Tab

Property Description
   Options to specify the general properties of the main tees, cross tees and edge supports
   Option to specify the distance to the main tee from the edge (the main tee direction is specified by the first 2 points selected to define the ceiling polygon)
   Option to specify the distance from the edge to the cross tee
   Option to specify the main tee spacing
   Option to specify the cross tee spacing
   Option to specify the end clearance of the cross tees
   Option to specify the end clearance of the main tees
   Option to specify the rotation of the edge support
   Option to specify the rotation of the cross tees
   Option to specify the rotation of the main tees
   Option to create the edge support

Frame Tab

Property Description
   Option to specify the ceiling type (acoustic tiles or full board)
   Option to specify the general properties of the ceiling parts
