The Bolt position allows user to get the global co-ordinates of all the selected bolts in the model. Useful to identify bolts for each level based on global z value. This makes erection easy.
How to Locate
‘Bolt Position’ will be available in the component catalogcatalog that contains all system components and custom components, and the macros and applications
The term component catalog is used in Tekla Structures until version 21.1.
Click the icon in the component cataloguser interface for displaying or modifying information in categorized lists
For example, profile catalog and shape catalog are catalogs.
Then select bolt groupgroup of bolts that forms a connecting building object between an assembly main part and secondary parts
The number of bolts in a bolt group depends on the bolt group shape and the values of bolt distances.
in the model for which you want to inquire co-ordinates.If bolts are inside component/connection please use select objects in component selection.You can also select multiple bolt groups. After selecting bolt groups, click on Get Coordinates button.
Then it will display co-ordinates in the window as shown above.

You can also save this data directly to file. Just Click on Save to file button. It will open Save as dialog box (as shown below).Default path will be your model folderfolder that is used for storing files associated with a model
Tekla Structures stores all files associated with a model in a folder it creates with the same name as the model database (.db1).
In multi-user mode all users access the same model folder.
. Just give the filename you want with extension .csv
You can open that file in excel for your further use.
