Use Back Cut when a member ('L' section) clash with another ('L' section) and  need to trim or extend and maintain bolt edge distance on first member.

How to locate

The installers are available at Transmission Tower Collection. After installing, Back Cut come under Transmission Tower Collection in the Applications & components. Or else search for Back Cut in Application &components. Icon for Back Cut as shown below.

Usage

Input for this extension:

Pick primary ('L' section), pick secondary('L' section which needs to be adjusted), and a pick point (from which the edge distance is maintained).

Here edge distance and corner cut distance can be entered. Most of the time both are same. So copy buttons are provided. Here edge distance is mantained by a fitting. So the member can extend also to maintain edge distance.
For corner cut auto/always on/ always off options are available. Default is auto. Based on the obstruction at the corner, cut may add or not. If the edge distance fitting not clearing the obstruction, the corner cut is done in this option. Construction circle enable option to just visually check the corner distance is followed or not. The circle centre is picked point and radius is corner cut distance.

Direct Manipulation Features

The Back Cut tool is equipped with direct manipulation features. This get enabled by activating the following 'Direct Modification (D)' switch.

Contextual Toolbar:

Contextual toolbar is a mini toolbar which gets opened once click on component in 'Select Components' and click on cubic button as shown below. Please make sure that the Direct Modification (D) switch is active. This enable user to change frequently used attributes very ease with out opening extension dialog.
