When you open a Tekla Structures model, a new window appears. By default, the user interface will look something like this:
All the essential commands are available on a ribbon (1) in both Model and Drawing modes.
The File menu (2) accesses many other functionalities.
Slide the ribbon
To find commands in the ribbon, you can slide back and forth/ hover over with your mouse on the ribbon.
The commands are easy to find, as they have been grouped according to their use. Some commands have more options under them. Click the shaded area to see the rest of the options:
If you want to check or change the object properties before running the command, hold down the Shift key when you click the command. This brings up the properties dialog box. For instance, you will hold down the Shift key on the Steel tab and click Column to open the Column Properties dialog box.
