You now have the option to use DirectX rendering with Tekla Structures.
DirectX improves the rendering quality and adds a subtle shading effect to Tekla Structures.
If you are using a high-end graphics card, DirectX rendering also improves the overall performance.
However, if you are using a low- to mid-range graphics card, the performance may slow down when using DirectX.
To achieve the best results, follow these guidelines:
- Use the default rendering option (OpenGL) with low- to mid-range graphics cards.
- Use the DirectX rendering option with high-end graphics cards, such as nVidia GeForce GTX 970 or 980.
To switch the option on or off, go to the File menu and click Settings --> DirectX rendering. Next close and reopen the model views or reopen the Tekla Structures-model.
Before using this option, check the hardware recommendations for graphics cards.
