Why some IFC files cannot be imported as reference models to Tekla? Only the default reference model symbol appears in the model.
Answer:
It might be that the IFC is of a schema that is not supported in Tekla Structures. If you view the IFC file with some text editor, you can check the schema it uses, for example: FILE_SCHEMA (('IFC2X_FINAL')); The IFC2X_FINAL schema is not supported by Tekla Structures. Export the IFC file using the schema that is supported in Tekla Structures: IFC2X3, IFC4. See also IFC insert.
