Question:
Is the model sharing local model in user's computer in db1 format or is it composed of packets?

Answer:
The model is just like any other Tekla Structures model: a folder on the disk with db1 and other database files. The packets are only temporary. Additionally model sharing models have two sub folders, which multi- or single-user models do not have:
  • SessionFileRepository folder contains .storage and sessionFile.db files.
  • ModelSharing folder contains Key subfolder and Settings subfolder. They will contain the following files: ModelSharingService.key, FileSharing.ini, and FileSharing.xml.
There is also one thing to remember. The numerical identifiers in the models change from time to time (runtime id’s). You cannot trust them to stay the same, you can only trust GUIDs.
