Pull-down list picture size in Custom Component dialog window

Question:

I am adding pictures to an attribute field as a drop-down list in the Custom Component Dialog Editor. Everything looks fine in the Custom Component Dialog Editor, but not when I open the Custom Component dialog box. The pictures in the drop-down list are not visible. Is there some sort of trick how to make it work?

Answer:

The bitmap picture size cannot exceed 245x245 pixels.
