Preparations
- Prior to installing Tekla Structures you need to remove any previous installations(i.e. if you are running Release Candidate or BETA you will need to remove those installations) of the version you are installing.
- You must have Windows Administrator privileges to install Tekla Structures, as the installation updates some system files. Consult your system administrator or Microsoft Windows documentation for more information on Administrator privileges.
- This installation guide assumes that Tekla Structures Licensing is installed and running before the installation. If you need to setup your Tekla Structures license please click here.
Helpful Information
- Do not delete your current installed versions of Tekla Structures unless you are not working in projects in those versions any longer.
- If possible, do not open any current models in this new version.
- All models are upward compatible; however, many connections have been enhanced, modified or moved. Thus, it will be safer to complete any current models on your previous Tekla Structures version.
- Models are not backwards compatible and will not open in previous version if saved in a newer version.
