Question:
If I want some sketched profiles to be a part of a firm setup.

How do I add them so they appear every time I start a new model?
If I copy just the profdb.bin to firm folder I don't see my sketched profiles.

Answer:
There are two ways to get sketched profiles to new models:

Make a model template

When you have the model where all the needed sketches are already included in the profile catalog, you can create a model template of your model. Best is to start with empty single-user model and import all the sketches (*.uel) and rules (*.lis) to the profile catalog and save the catalog and model. Then save the model as a model template, see instructions in this article Creating model templates.  By default, the model template folder is saved in your environment folder. You can copy the model template folder for example to a network location available for all users. Use the advanced option XS_MODEL_TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY to define this network location in an ini file in firm folder, for example.

Import sketches from certain folder automatically

Another solution is to set the advanced option XS_UEL_IMPORT_FOLDER to point to a folder where all *.uel files for your sketches are saved. When a new model is created the sketches will import themselves in and be available.
