Question:
I need a square slot in my beam, how can I model a square hole?
Answer:
First we need to create a zero diameter hole. Open your Bolt catalog. For this example we will amend BOLTM00*25-8.8X0X, but you can click Add to create a new bolt should you prefer. Set the bolt values as shown below, click Update.
Double click the bolt in your model you want to show as a square hole, the Bolt properties window opens.
To achieve the square hole set the Bolt properties as shown below.
You will now see a square hole.
