What is a Mini Dump?

Applications can produce user-mode minidump files, which contain a useful subset of the information contained in a crash dump file. Applications can create minidump files very quickly and efficiently. Because minidump files are small, they can be easily sent over the internet to technical support for the application.

When should I create a Mini Dump?

When running Tekla and you expierence a crash often or a crash performing a specific command, this would be an applicable situation to create and issue a Mini Dump. In most cases Tekla Support will request this file to be created by you when troubleshooting a specific issue. To be specific, you take thedump while TS is having the crash. In other words when you see the "tekla structures has stopped working"
