The fire resistance custom components allow users to define spray-applied fire resistance coatings to three steel framing conditions:

The fire resistance custom components allow users to define spray-applied fire resistance coatings to three steel framing conditions:
- W-shape all around the cross-section
- W-shape all around the cross-section except the top flange
- HSS shape all around the cross-section
Each component allows users to define the thickness of fire resistance and start and end offset distances from the part reference handles.
Each fire resistance “shape” is defined with a sketched profile embedded within the component. These profiles must be in the model database for the components to work. Exporting the fire resistance profiles to plant design software will require custom mapping of profiles.
