CATALOG NAME: Chevron Beam Beam; Chevron Bottom

Chevron Beam to Beam
TYPE: SEAM

This custom component allows you to quickly add Vertical bracing in the formation of a chevron into the model between two beams. The first beam selected (the primary) will be the mouth of the braces and the secondary beam will be where the peak of the braces is located. The two picking points are to determine the width of the bay. This is important so when connections are later applied to the braces the bay width work point locations will remain in the correct spots.

Picking order:

1.    Select Primary Beam
2.    Select Secondary Beam
3.    Pick 1st Point
4.    Pick 2nd Point

When the secondary beam is sloping, change the Up Direction in the component on the General tab as shown below.
